Eggy Fun for families at Shaw House

There’s no need to wait for Easter to get your chocolate fix if you visit Shaw House on Sunday 5th April! The Easter Bunny will be hopping around, he’s lost all his eggs in the grounds of the house so he’s hoping some sharp-eyed families can help him find them. Gather enough red, blue and yellow eggs and you can exchange them for a chocolate egg!

But the Eggy Fun doesn’t stop there. Inside the house we’ve got lots of brave Egg Men on a mission. We need you to make them a parachute from our junk pile which will help them get safely to the ground! Certificate’s will be awarded to the bravest, most sucessful eggs (and their helpers!)

If you prefer a quieter activity then budding artists are called for to help to decorate our Easter Tree. Decorate your own egg with funky patterns and bright colours to to hang on its branches.

There are no additional charges on top of admission fees for any of these activities.

Shaw House is a very family friendly place to visit with activities and facilities for all ages.  As always there’s lots to do with five historic rooms to look round complete with our Wheelie Do activity stations and a visit to the exhibition, exploring the history of the house is a must.

The café will be open, serving hot and cold drinks, sandwiches, cakes and snacks and don’t forget the gift shop which stocks something for all visitors from nostalgic ex-pupils to younger visitors and those with a sweet tooth!

Eggy Fun is on all day from 11am to 5pm. From 1st April.

Shaw House is open every weekend, Saturday and Sunday, 11am – 5pm. A variety of events are set to take place over the course of the year.

For more information visit www.shawhouse.org.uk or call 01635 279279.
